EOPP exists to provide its members with discounts and special offers on a range of retail products. As a member you become a shareholder in the co-operative, (with a minimum of 100 $1 shares), entitling you to profit share, annual rebates and the opportunity to support the growth of the local Esperance community.

How EOPP benefits local Esperance farmers

The co-operative model enables farmers to build the value of their family farming business by providing better value to farmers for the costs of inputs and supplies, and processing of the aforementioned.

A co-operative provides healthy competition for suppliers and makes it competitive to shop locally. It also enables farmers ride out adverse trading conditions in commodity markets.

In short, it’s an immense benefit for local Esperance farmers to be a member of their local farming cooperative.

How a co-operative benefits the Esperance community

One third of Australia’s wealth is generated outside the major cities, yet often Primary Producers find it challenging to shop locally in obtaining inputs and supplies to run the farming business.

EOPP benefits Esperance by enabling competitive pricing for farming supplies. Farmers are able to source supplies within the region, supporting employment and the economic multiplier of keeping money local.

Most importantly, having a co-op supports Esperance and its community in maintaining a regional way of life. There are numerous potential opportunities to grow and support the local economy through an expansion of the EOPP co-op.
