Sco-op

May 2025

Dear Members, Suppliers, Directors, and Team,

As we look ahead to another big season, it’s also the perfect time to start thinking about the next generation of growers and ag leaders in our region.

Next month applications will open for the EOPP Agricultural Scholarship – an opportunity that supports local Year 11 and 12 students enrolled at a WA College of Agriculture. This scholarship helps cover education and boarding costs across the final two years of school, easing the financial load for families and giving young people a stronger start toward a future in agriculture.

Whether it’s a young person in your family, someone in your community, or a student you know with a passion for farming – we’d love to see them apply.

The application process is simple: students will need to submit a cover letter, recent school reports, a CV, and two references. Full details will be shared closer to the open date, but now’s a great time to start thinking and chatting with any potential applicants.

We’re proud to continue investing in the future of farming – and look forward to seeing another group of bright, motivated students step forward this year.

Spotlight On Repco, Esperance

This month, our Supplier Spotlight highlights Repco, Your Trusted Automotive Parts Specialists. Founded in the early 1920s as the Automotive Grinding Company in Collingwood, Victoria, Geoffrey Russell established this small factory in response to Australia’s surging demand for replacement parts when nearly 100,000 cars hit the roads.

From these humble beginnings, Repco (Replacement Parts Company) has grown into one of Australasia’s most iconic brands with an impressive century-long legacy. Their journey includes developing components for the first Holden in 1948 and powering Sir Jack Brabham to Formula One victory in 1966 – a testament to Australian engineering excellence.

Today, the Esperance branch offers an extensive range of automotive solutions including quality replacement parts, heavy-duty equipment, specialised tools, and innovative digital platforms like Navigator Pro. What truly distinguishes Repco is their unmatched accessibility and convenience, ensuring parts are available exactly when and where customers need them.

The Repco Commercial team brings exceptional value through their deep industry expertise, working as genuine partners who understand the unique challenges facing both local businesses and individual customers. Their customer-first approach creates lasting relationships built on trust and mutual success.

Repco has been a proud member of the EOPP since March 1996 – celebrating their 29th year! This long-standing partnership shows Repco’s deep commitment to the Esperance community. By being part of the EOPP network for over two and a half decades, Repco has consistently supported local businesses and residents with preferred pricing and specialized service, making quality automotive parts more accessible to everyone in our region.

Visit their store at 138 Norseman Rd, call (08) 9071 7260, or email online@repco.com.au to experience why generations of Australians have trusted Repco for over 100 years.

We have a result from the Special General Meeting.
