April 2026

Dear Members, Suppliers, Directors, and Team,

We’re already nearing the end of April, and for many across the region, the pace of the year is certainly starting to pick up.

Across the region, seeding preparations are well underway, with many already getting machines moving or gearing up to start. After a mixed lead-in to the season, there’s a sense of cautious optimism as everyone looks ahead and hopes for the right conditions to set things up well. As always, this time of year brings plenty of moving parts – long days, planning, and a strong focus on what’s ahead.

It’s also a time where we start to look a little further ahead – not just to the season in front of us, but to the future of our community as well. Scholarship applications for 2026 will be opening on 1 June, and we encourage families, students, and those considering applying to start thinking about what this could mean for them. These opportunities are designed to invest back into our region – supporting growth, education, and future pathways.

And as we move through April, we’re also reminded of the moments that bring us together as a community. With ANZAC Day this Saturday, it’s a timely opportunity to pause and reflect. It’s a day that holds deep meaning across communities like ours – a chance to remember the service and sacrifice of those who have given so much, and to come together in quiet respect. Lest we forget.

This month, our Supplier Spotlight shines on Tradelink Esperance – a go-to for many local tradies, builders, and anyone needing the right parts to get a job done.

Keep Jobs Moving, Every day

At its core, Tradelink Esperance is about keeping things moving – making sure the right products are on hand, questions are answered, and jobs don’t get held up waiting on supply.

Backed by a national network but driven by a local team, the branch combines practical, on-the-ground experience with access to a wide product range.

More recently, they’ve expanded beyond plumbing and gas into building supplies – including insulation, decking, flashing, and stormwater – making it even easier for locals to source what they need in one place.

It’s this everyday, reliable support that has made Tradelink Esperance a steady part of the local trade and building community.
