If you’ve had the opportunity to meet Adrian Moffat of Southcoast Bearing and Industrial Supplies, you’ll undoubtedly be familiar with how passionate Adrian is and what a positive and uplifting experience any encounter with him entails. Adrian’s dedication to his business and his clients sets him apart, making Southcoast Bearings a trusted name in the industry.

Adrian and Ellen Moffat bought Southcoast Bearing and Industrial Supplies back in 2003. Their initial motivation was deeply personal; it was the only local business supplying Go Karts and Go Kart supplies—a perfect fit for a family with children heavily involved in Go Karting. Over the years, as their children grew up and moved on from karting, so did the business.

Adapting to Change

As agriculture and industry evolved, so did Southcoast Bearings and Industrial Supplies. Today, they offer “anything and everything” a customer might need. Adrian’s self-professed “old-fashioned” approach to business shines through in his philosophy: “if we don’t have it, we’ll get it.” This commitment has earned him loyal customers extending right into the Perth Metro area. Clients return not just for the specific brands Adrian can source, but for the reliable and personalised service they know they’ll receive.

Business is Personal

Adrian prides himself on the personalised service he offers. He fondly recalls how children who once came in with their parents now visit with their own kids, a clear demonstration of the genuine lasting relationships he has built. For Adrian, business is deeply personal; he knows his customers by name, and they know him. Retirement is a distant thought for Adrian, who humorously predicts that they’ll “find me crusted in cobwebs someday.” His dedication and passion shine through in so many different ways, but one thing clearly continues to drive him, and it’s the deeply personal relationships he’s developed with his customers.

A Connection to Farming Families

In addition to running their business, Adrian and Ellen are farmers, managing 120 acres in Dalyup with stud Square Meater cattle. While commercial farming on this scale can be challenging, their farming background gives them a unique understanding of agricultural needs. This affinity allows them to connect deeply with agricultural families and provide tailored solutions that meet industry-specific demands.

On Being an EOPP Supplier

Southcoast Bearing and Industrial Supplies have been EOPP suppliers since Adrian and Ellen took over in 2003. The previous owners were also EOPP suppliers. When asked why they continue this partnership, Adrian simply states, “It’s more convenient, it’s simpler, it’s easier for everyone.”
