This month, our Supplier Spotlight highlights South Coast Foodservice, a long-standing local supplier helping businesses big and small access the food, cleaning, and packaging products they need every day.

With more than 60 years of experience behind them, South Coast Foodservice has been part of the fabric of the Esperance community for generations. Originally operated by Peter Swann, the business grew steadily over the years before joining the MBL Food & Packaging family in 2021. Even with this change, the heart of the business has stayed the same – local people serving local people with reliability, friendliness, and pride.

A Business That’s Grown With the Region

South Coast Foodservice began as a small, family-run operation and gradually became a go-to supplier for farmers, cafes, restaurants, schools, takeaways, sports clubs, pubs, and many other local businesses. When MBL purchased the business in 2021, it wasn’t a major shift – more so a natural progression. The two businesses already shared a strong connection, and the partnership meant the team could keep doing what they do best while gaining the support of a wider WA network.

Today, their delivery trucks head out across the South Coast every day, travelling everywhere from town centres to remote properties. Safe handling, reliable refrigeration, and consistently high-quality products are all part of their commitment to customers.

Values That You Can Feel When You Walk In

The team at South Coast Foodservice keeps things simple:

  • Treat people with respect
  • Offer friendly, reliable service
  • Always go the extra mile

These values show up in the way they greet customers, the effort they put into sourcing the right products, and the pride they take in getting every order out accurately and on time. Many customers have been with them for decades, which speaks to the strong relationships they’ve built throughout the region.

A Huge Range of Products for Every Kind of Business

South Coast Foodservice has one of the widest product ranges in the region thanks to its strong partnerships and years of experience. Whether you’re running a café, stocking a supermarket, catering for an event, or simply looking for supplies for your farm or workplace, they’ve got something for everyone.

Their range includes:

  • Fresh and frozen meat
  • Dry goods and frozen foods
  • Cleaning products (through RapidClean)
  • Beverages (via the National Beverage Group)
  • Packaging and takeaway supplies
  • Over 16,000 food service items through the Countrywide Network

If they don’t have it, the team will do their best to find it – just ask.

A Team That Loves What They Do

One of the biggest strengths of South Coast Foodservice is their team. They’re a friendly, down-to-earth group who support one another, look after their customers, and genuinely enjoy the work they do. Their can-do attitude and willingness to help makes working with them easy, reliable, and enjoyable.

Proud to Be Part of EOPP

South Coast Foodservice has been an EOPP Supplier for many years and truly appreciates the strong support they receive from the farming community. Through the partnership, they’ve built meaningful connections, supported local businesses, and stayed actively involved in the region. They’re keen to take part in more EOPP events and always encourage others to get involved too.
