This month, our Supplier Spotlight highlights Squily’s Moto, a family-run motorcycle repair and small engine business with a big heart for the Esperance community.

What began in the backyard tinkering with friends’ bikes has grown into a much-loved local service. When a number of motorcycle businesses closed down, Squily’s Moto stepped up to make sure Esperance still had somewhere to go for trusted repairs and parts.

Three years ago, with the support of Steve Florisson, the team moved into their spot on Arthur Street, just opposite Bunnings. Since then, they’ve expanded their services, met plenty of new faces, and continued doing what they love most – keeping locals on the move and supporting the community that supports them.

From Backyard Repairs to a Local Favourite

Like many great Esperance stories, Squily’s Moto started small. Fixing and customising bikes for mates soon turned into a steady stream of locals looking for help. It wasn’t always easy – like most small businesses, cashflow was tough in the early days and internet sales made things harder for a workshop-based business. But the team stuck it out, focusing on stocking what customers really needed.

Now, Squily’s Moto is looking ahead to new opportunities, including sourcing reliable quad bikes for farmers – a much-needed addition to the local market. Their growth shows just how much they’ve become part of the fabric of the community.

What They Stand For

At Squily’s Moto, it’s never been about rushing through jobs. Their motto could be summed up as “quality first, always”. They’d rather take the time to get things right than send someone away with a quick fix that doesn’t last.

Honesty, reliability, and good old-fashioned customer care are at the heart of everything they do. Customers know they can pop in anytime – if the team can help, they will. As they put it, there’s nothing better than seeing someone walk in with a frown and leave with a smile.

Services That Keep Esperance Moving

Squily’s Moto is more than just a bike workshop – they’re a go-to for all sorts of engines and equipment. If it runs on fuel, they’ll give it a go. Their services include:

  • Motorcycle repairs and custom work
  • Small engine servicing and parts supply
  • On-site repairs and maintenance
  • Pickup and drop-off service
  • Event support with their mobile workshop (like the Flinders Classic and Esperance Motocross)

Everything they sell and service is tried, tested, and trusted by the team themselves – because they only offer what they’d use out on the road or farm.

A Family Team With a Love for Riding

One of the things locals appreciate most about Squily’s Moto is the people behind it. This is a small family team who know firsthand the joy of riding and the frustration when something goes wrong. They bring that personal understanding into every job, taking genuine care with each repair and always putting relationships before profit.

Their philosophy is simple: keep things reliable, keep customers happy, and always be honest – even if that means turning down a quick win.

Stronger Together With EOPP

Squily’s Moto joined the EOPP network two years ago, and it’s been a game-changer. Not only has it given them extra exposure, but it’s also helped build trust with local clients and created stronger business connections.

For them, EOPP is about more than just business – it’s about being part of something bigger. As they say, when the community works together, everyone prospers.
