Chad Bugg and Tanika Anderson are the owners of Rotech Auto Electrical and Esperance Batteries. Here they share their story of the business, and why Esperance Batteries plays such a vital role in the local community.

Rotech officially opened Esperance Batteries to the public in July 2023. The store was a work in progress over a couple of years prior when we were locals to Esperance. These days we live in the southwest due to our family circumstances, however, we regularly visit Esperance to check up on the business and offer support to our amazing team, who we now manage remotely.

The two main focuses of Esperance Batteries are our customer service and the training of our employees. We like to assist in a timely, welcoming, and informative manner providing good products that we know will last. Rotech and Esperance Batteries provide an emphasis on training, we encourage the growth of our employees by allowing apprenticeships, and on-the-job training to expand on their knowledge base.

Did you know that Esperance Batteries provide a call out service between 8am and 5pm daily?

We know how stressful it can be to find yourself with a flat battery. That’s why we’ve put in place a call-out service so that if our customers’ experience a flat battery, we can come to them with the necessary battery, install it, and get the car back on the road.

Pop into Esperance Batteries to see our solar display, (and make yourself a coffee!)

Esperance Batteries has a display in store that runs purely off solar. It is set up with a DCDC and inverter, which runs the bar fridge, coffee machine and display lights. Customers are welcome to test the display by making themselves a coffee, utilising the cold milk and water from the fridge. All display items are available to purchase, if not in stock we can order them in. If you have any questions, our team can provide technical advice.

Additional services available at Esperance Batteries

Esperance Batteries offer a range of batteries and low voltage accessories including:

  • Lithium
  • Solar panels
  • DCDC
  • Inverters
  • Battery chargers
  • Lighting
  • Stereos
  • UHF/antennas
  • Fridges

We offer a FREE (*if under 15min install*) installation of batteries purchased instore, and a call out service (at a charge) between 8-5 daily.

The benefits to Esperance Batteries of being an EOPP Supplier

Being an EOPP supplier assists with our customer base, as we rely a lot on farming. I think it is an attractive feature for them because they know that they can just walk into store, get what they need and add it to their account. They can also send someone else in on their behalf and not have to worry about the transference of money.
