This month, our Supplier Spotlight highlights Esperance Communications, your friendly local tech experts who’ve been keeping our community connected for over 40 years.

Starting back in 1982 as a small repair shop, this family-owned business has become the town’s go-to place for everything electronic. Whether you’re scratching your head over a computer problem or need help setting up that fancy new gadget, the team at Esperance Communications truly lives by their motto “Electronics Made Easy” – and they mean it!

A True Local Success Story

Here’s a story that’ll warm your heart – Colin Gallop started at Esperance Communications way back in 1988 as a young apprentice, learning the ropes and working his way up through sheer dedication. Fast forward to 2022, and Colin, along with Ron and Carolyn Chambers, became the proud new owners of the business he’d helped build for decades. Talk about knowing the business inside and out!

The transformation has been incredible to watch. What began as a cozy 2-person repair shop has blossomed into a 20-strong team of tech-savvy locals. Sure, there’s less of the old-school radio repair these days (remember when we all had those chunky CB radios?), but they’ve cleverly moved with the times. Now they’re the one-stop shop for security systems, computer help, and all those custom electronic projects that make life easier.

Your Neighbours Who Happen to Be Tech Wizards

What locals love most about this crew is how they treat every customer like a neighbour – because chances are, you probably are! They’ve built their reputation on genuine care and taking the time to explain things in plain English. No confusing tech jargon or making you feel silly for asking questions.

The Esperance Communications team genuinely believes that staying ahead of technology shouldn’t mean leaving anyone behind. They’ll match those big city prices while giving you the personal service that only comes from people who actually live and work in the community. When your computer crashes at 4:30pm on a Friday, you know exactly who to call!

Everything Electronic Under One Roof

Honestly, is there anything these folks can’t fix, install, or set up? Their range of services is pretty impressive for this corner of Western Australia:

  • Computer sales and repairs (including all that mysterious software stuff)
  • Security cameras and alarm systems that actually work with the new firearm regulations
  • Vehicle fit-outs: two-way radios, reversing cameras, phone boosters, brake controllers, power outlets, sound systems, and solar setups for your car, caravan, or camper
  • Starlink internet installations – perfect for those remote work setups or just better Netflix streaming!
  • Pretty much any electronic repair or custom project you can dream up

Their most popular service? Simply being the place where “all things electronic” make sense. No job too big, no question too small.

The Faces Behind the Magic

Colin Gallop, Managing Director of Esperance Communications, brings 35+ years of hands-on experience – there’s not much he hasn’t seen or fixed! Kieran Chambers, their Service Manager, combines his Computer Science degree with real-world know-how, while Sales Manager Shannon D’Silva has that rare gift of matching the perfect product to your actual needs (not just the most expensive one).

What makes the Esperance Communications team special? They’re locals who genuinely care about getting things right the first time. The qualified tech crew backs up the friendly front-of-house team, so you get both the expertise and the warm welcome every time you walk through the door.

Making Life Easier for Local Groups

The Esperance Communications team has been supporting the community through the EOPP supplier program for years now. If you’re involved with a local organization, you know how handy it is to have everything on one account – no more juggling multiple invoices or chasing paperwork. It’s just another way they’re looking out for community groups and making admin life a bit simpler.
